Tetovo Launches New Green Park Project to Boost Urban Living

Tetovo, a vibrant city in North Macedonia, has announced a new urban initiative focused on creating more green spaces for its residents. The municipality confirmed that construction of a modern city park will begin this autumn near the center of Tetovo.

The project aims to provide families, students, and elderly citizens with a fresh and clean environment, away from traffic and pollution. According to local officials, the park will feature walking paths, a children’s playground, bicycle lanes, and over 300 newly planted trees.
Mayor Bilal Kasami emphasized that the park is part of Tetovo’s long-term strategy to improve air quality and promote a healthier lifestyle. “Our goal is to make Tetovo a cleaner and more livable city for everyone. Green spaces are essential for future generations,” he stated.
The initiative has been welcomed by residents, many of whom say the city needs more recreational areas. Students from South East European University (SEEU) also expressed support, highlighting the importance of having spaces to relax and socialize.

The park is expected to be completed by the summer of 2026. Local businesses will also be invited to participate by opening eco-friendly kiosks and cafés around the area.
With this new development, Tetovo continues to position itself as a city that balances tradition with modern urban planning.
